Lyrics

Two men so far away,
Yet so close.
A man from the past,
A man of today.

...

Two men who fight,
For their people,
For their lives,
For their…

...

(Chorus)
What is life?
What is peace?
What is happiness?
These things that the men are fighting for.
What is hate?
What is anger?
What is war?
These things that the world just don’t need…

...
These men have risked their lives.
Going to the war zone,
And coming back to lead a normal life.

...
Who’ve seen things unimaginable,
And coming back,
To home,
And pretend nothing has happened…

...

(Chorus)

...
The Civil War…
The war in
Iraq
The only reason,
These wars are fought…

(Spoken)

So far from engaging in a war to perpetuate slavery, I am rejoiced that Slavery is abolished. I believe it will be greatly for the interest of the South. So fully am I satisfied of this that I would have cheerfully lost all that I have lost by the war, and have suffered all that I have suffered to have this object attained.

Going to someplace and coming back to lead a normal life, going through a lot of changes from a soldier back to a civilian. I think that's resilient.

(Chorus) x2

Emi,

don't double space the lines, it's hard to tell where the different stanzas/verses end. and where does the chorus end?

other than that, that's a very good song! i like it! do you have a title for it?

It's really good! My only advice is that maybe you should add more specific details about the people you are doing your project on, so that we can tell that you are doing your project aout Robert E. Lee, and Kenny Harrison.
Otherwise, great work!

Whoa, that was awesome! I like how you use some direct and indirect references to your two people. I also enjoyed how you put the spoken part in there, it gives it more variety and makes it very unique. The song gives off a really good vibe, and I can't wait to here the final product.
