"Going to someplace and coming back to lead a normal life, going through a lot of changes from a soldier back to a civilian. I think that's resilient," says Kenny Harrison.
This quote sort of connects to the time when he went to Afghanistan in '03 and Iraq in '04, when he was a soldier in the Army Reserve, and soon after he was done, he went back to his Tennessee life. He said that it was a change, while his wife, Gretta, thinks that he's pretty flexible and resilient the way he goes back and forth from a soldier to a civilian.

Good quote, and nice explanation. I like how you also talked about his wife and her point of view. I think that, if you wanted to you could have researched another quote and have had two quotes.
Excellent!

Emily, I really admire the way you are learning more about Kenny and talking to family about what his experience was like. This is an excellent quote to introduce Kenny as a resilient character. It would be interesting to talk to Kenny about what strategies he used to stay resilient and make it through such a tough transition from war back to family life. I look forward to how you capture his resilience in your music/spoken word piece.
